Title: Independent Contractor – DSP-CPT-10430 Recruiting & HR Operations Virtual Assistant/Business Support VA/Junior-Advanced Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

Provide structured administrative, recruiting, HR, payroll-adjacent, and compliance support by executing clearly defined, repeatable tasks within existing systems. This role supports internal leadership and automation and does not replace decision-making, strategy, or system ownership.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

1. Scheduling, Timekeeping & Labor Control

  • Follow up with employees on missing punches or unrecorded lunch breaks.
  • Send reminders and notifications via approved communication tools.
  • Verify Amazon Cortex–recorded lunches are accurately reflected in payroll.
  • Review weekly time punch edit requests by comparing payroll reports to Amazon Cortex.
  • Ensure new hires properly record training and Day 1 time.


2. Driver Recognition & Team Engagement

Distribute driver recognition announcements once rankings are finalized.

3. Recruiting & ATS Management

  • Post and manage job openings using existing templates.
  • Review one-way Spark Hire interviews and record pass/fail recommendations.
  • Advance candidates through ATS stages using established workflows.
  • Communicate with candidates via ATS text and email tools.
  • Trigger interview scheduling through ATS-generated calendar links.
  • Send drug screening Jotform and monitor completion.
  • Monitor onboarding steps and follow up on missing items.
  • Remove candidates from onboarding if timelines are not met.
  • Complete employer-side I-9 verification steps.
  • Assign new hires to training classes in the Amazon Logistics portal.
  • Manage recruiting and HR inboxes.


4. Onboarding, Payroll & Employee Records

  • Ensure new hires are set up correctly in payroll per Amazon compliance.
  • Upload one-off documents (doctor notes, resignation confirmations).
  • Maintain organized personnel files.


5. Attendance Management & Corrective Actions

Monitor attendance data and flag issues for review.

6. Benefits Administration

  • Reconcile employee rosters against benefits carrier invoices.
  • Identify and flag billing discrepancies.
  • Report terminations to benefits providers.
  • Submit and track benefits refund requests.
  • Respond to benefits-related vendor communications.


7. Compliance, OSHA & Workers’ Compensation

VA Support (Low Volume / Non-Daily):

  • Review OSHA logs for completeness and accuracy.
  • Organize documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor workers’ compensation documentation flow.


8. Communications, Systems & Process Support

  • Respond to routine vendor and candidate requests.
  • Maintain task documentation and trackers.
  • Follow established SOPs and workflows.
  • Double-check work for accuracy before submission.
  • Support approved administrative and project tasks.


9. Process Improvement & Escalation

Expectations:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Flag operational risks impacting payroll, compliance, onboarding, or employee experience.


Escalation Requirement:

  • Any blocker preventing task completion, creating compliance or payroll risk, or requiring approval, access, or clarification must be escalated the same business day it is identified.

    Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.


    Skills

    The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

    • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Experience in HR, recruiting, payroll-adjacent tasks, or compliance support is preferred.
    • Ability to follow clear, repeatable workflows accurately.
    • Comfort with routine communication via email, ATS, and internal tools.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in data entry and reporting.


    Work Schedule

    • Contracted Hours per Week: 20 Hours in total (10 hours/week each VA)
    • Scheduled Working Days: TBD
    • Daily Working Time: 11 AM-4 PM /1 PM-6 PM TBD if MST or PST

    Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

    Terms of Engagement

    • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
    • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
    • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
